Guide

How to style athleisure for everyday wear.

A minimalist guide to moving from studio to street without a costume change.

What is athleisure, really?

Athleisure is clothing designed for movement that quietly holds up through the rest of the day. Not gym clothes worn out of laziness. The pieces you reach for first because they feel as good as they look, and they don't ask to be noticed.

At 139, we design for identity, not aspiration. Buttery soft, second skin comfort. Clean lines. Nothing loud.

Four ways to wear The Known

Studio to coffee

Layer The Known bra under a relaxed knit and pair with the tights and a low sneaker. Add a linen jacket to walk straight from class into a table.

Run club to errands

The Known shorts with a plain tee and a cap. Add a longer overshirt for the grocery run. The linerless cut means no second thought about the walk between.

Lifting to lunch

The Known tank under an unstructured button-down, sleeves rolled. Featherweight knit disappears; the shirt does the talking.

Travel days

Tights, tank, oversized cardigan, slip-on. Packs flat, lands ready, and stays soft through six hours on a plane.

Three rules for minimalist athleisure

  1. Keep the palette quiet. One base color, one accent — nothing else.
  2. Contrast the fabric weights. Soft knit against a crisp weave reads intentional.
  3. Own the fit. Skim close on the base layer; let the top layer drape.

The Known drops soon.
